Five Nationalities Must Follow The New Regulations For Entry To Dubai

The new entry requirements must be strictly adhered to

With tourists now able to visit the emirate, certain rules have been amended overtime making it important for all those traveling to Dubai to be aware of the requirements. Five different nationalities visiting the UAE, require certain documents and proof upon arrival.

According to the Consulate-General of Pakistan in Dubai, approximately 1000 Pakistani citizens who have been denied entry into the UAE for the non-compliance of the rules with over 140 Indian passengers being asked to return to their home countries on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

The five nationalities included are Pakistanis, Indians, Nepalis, Bangladeshis and Afghans, who upon arrival with a visit visa must carry a minimum of ($545) Dhs2,000 along with a return ticket and must have proof of a hotel stay or the details of a relative's address are also required.

The list of documents required for arrival include:

- Passport with six months' validity from the date of entry into UAE

- Valid visit / tourist visa

- Return airline ticket

- Negative PCR test result, as issued by a recognized lab

- Sufficient funds to stay in the UAE

- A hotel booking or proof of address of a sponsor or relative

The other fines for staying in the country on an expired residency visa would lead to a daily fine of Dh25, with a further daily Dh20 penalty for failing to renew an Emirates ID, costing a total of Dh315 per week. In addition, a separate system for those on expired tourist or visit visas who are hit with Dh200 for the first day, and Dh100 a day after that will also be imposed.

Various airlines such as Pakistan International Airlines and several other travel agencies have shared official documents from Dubai's General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs immigration service that set out the requirements.
